"The Forest," by Trish Frederick portrays towering trees with thick trunks painted in shades of brown and gold. The lush green foliage varies in shades, creating a dense, almost impenetrable canopy. On the forest floor, greenery and patches of vividly colored flowers give life to the scene. The background features additional trees. The interplay of light and shadows suggests sunlight filtering through the canopy, enhancing the serene beauty of the forest.
This painting was inspired by a Russian artists Ivan Shishkin (1832-1898). When i was studying trees, their shapes and different types of bark I ran across Ivan Shishkin. His work features a lot of trees, woodlands and streams as the focal points of his work.
