Introducing "Aqua Vortex," an abstract painting by Sharon Coleman characterized by a vibrant and dynamic use of color and form. Dominating the composition is a large, vivid orange half circular shape that gives the impression of an entrance to a tunnel. This striking circle is partially enveloped by sweeping arcs in shades of blue with hints of purple, furthering the illusion of a tunnel or vortex.
The lower half of the painting is predominantly blue, in various textures and shades that evoke reflections or ripples on a liquid or glass-like surface. Vertical streaks of greenish hues descend into this blue area, adding contrast and complexity to the composition. Sharon’s use of layering and blending techniques evokes a sense of mystery and intrigue.
With her use of color, every painting takes you into a world of color, of light and dark hues, that strike the imagination drawing you in one painting at a time.
Here are a few samples of her other vibrant blue paintings. I hope you take the time to see her other work. You won't be disappointed.
